Ross & Mary Hunt, Inc. is defined by independence, objectivity, experience, and our distinctive holistic values-based approach to our fiduciary relationship with you. You won't experience the hard sell here. Instead, our job is to evaluate your current financial situation, discuss your financial goals with you, and create a path designed to help pursue those goals, making use of appropriate financial strategies.  

Independence

We value our independence. Our practical approach to problem- solving is not based on what products we can sell, rather on objective and disciplined tools and techniques that are tailored specifically to your individual fact pattern, through our fiduciary relationship with you.
What does "fiduciary" mean, you ask? Well, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary; the legal definition of a fiduciary relationship is: "a relationship in which one party places special trust, confidence, and reliance in and is influenced by another who has a fiduciary duty to act for the benefit of the party." Which, in our opinion, is how approaching financial relationships should be handled, and in doing so, we are breaking the traditional role of a transactional (sales-driven) advisor for a long-term relationship-based experience.
Objectivity
 
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™, Ross places objectivity and his fiduciary relationship at the center of our process and takes it very seriously. By working on a fee basis, his job 
is to objectively assess your financial situation and recommend better financial strategies to carry out your individualized plan of action. LPL Financial does not offer proprietary investment products; this way he can concentrate on exactly what our clients need and more importantly, what they want – objective  financial advice.
"Values-Based" Approach
We provide full-service wealth management for our clients using a "Values-Based" financial preparation process, and this includes the four traditional, key areas of financial planning: discovery, analysis, implementation and monitoring. However, at Ross & Mary Hunt, Inc., we overlay onto this process a holistic view that incorporates your core beliefs (your inner values) and then applies it to your overall unique situation. We then recommend fiduciary-based strategies that, being founded upon your values and beliefs,  we hope, in turn, leads to a much more fulfilling result. Once we complete our initial collaboration, we then work together and periodically revisit your strategy (again, based on your priorities and goals) and recommend any adjustments indicated to help you pursue a productive, rewarding & financially stable retirement.
 
 
Experience
 
For more than three decades, Ross has dedicated himself to partnering with his clients to pursue their dreams of an ideal retirement, whether that means having the ability to stop working, working part-time, or even changing careers to chase a dream. He founded his financial planning practice immediately upon graduating from Miami University of Ohio, in 1981. His extensive experience and vigorous on-going education in the areas of; IRA's, 401k's, 403(b)'s, retirement income structuring, estate planning, retirement planning, and investment theory, makes him an advisor who combines experience and education. This experience has led him to provide holistic financial services to clients across the country, with large concentrations in Southern California & Central Ohio, and he also currently serves clients in many other states.
